IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME AND FIX IT, WOULD YOU?

I just finished watching this movie called Time Freak. Within this movie, a guy invents a time machine after his girlfriend breaks up with him so that he can go back in time and fix all the bad things that he did that may have caused this to happen. So, I begin thinking, if I could go back in time and fix it, would I? And now I ask you, would you?

If you ever been in love, then I am sure that you had your heart broken before. If you haven’t, then I’m happy for you because it isn’t anything that you want to experience. But for those of you who have had what can be consider one of the worst moments in your life (the heart feels like it literally been broken in half) then I am sure you can relate to what I am writing about next.

So, go back in time with me for a moment. I remember the first time my heart was broken (yes, I know I’m being a little dramatic, but this is one of those moments where you can be, lol). We went to a restaurant after she graduated, and while we were eating, she told me that she wanted to break up. I must admit that I was not expecting it, but I deserved it. I wasn’t the best boyfriend to her. I remember the day that I broke her heart. So, I wonder, if I went back in time and didn’t do something so stupid if things would have been different.

We all know that your first love prepares you for the Love of your Life. So, let’s talk about her. I remember the first time she told me that she wasn’t in love with me. You would think that when you get older it will hurt less, but it doesn’t. You just get better at hiding the pain. I’m sure you are wondering right now what happen. We broke up! But why? Could it have been because of the way I treated her? That is the million-dollar question! Let’s be honest for a moment, when someone breaks up with you, they never tell you the entire truth about why they did it because they want to spare your feelings. So, you never feel fulfilled with the answer. You never really get closure. You begin to think about the moments you messed up. I can literarily tell you the exact moment I hurt her for the first time. After the break-up, she told me the moment that made her decide that she wasn’t giving her heart to me anymore. If I could, would I go back and fix it? Yes, I would. Why not, what do I have to lose. If you have the chance to fix a wrong that can prevent you and the other person from getting hurt, wouldn’t you fix it? Ask yourself this question: If you can go back and fix it, would you?

Thank you for going through this fantasy moment with me. At the end of the day, we know that time travel doesn’t exist. All we can do is learn from our mistakes and aim to never repeat them. Losing the love of my life was one of the worst things that I had to experience but I have no regrets because it made me grow and become a better man. Own it and learn from your mistake and then allow yourself to grow. God Bless.
