You might have heard or listened from various people around about Relationships being a distraction. That if you get into a relationship in your younger years you'll get distracted from studies or even your career goals. But you are also aware about those people who are doing great in their career as well as maintaining a healthy relationship.
Obviously it's rare, not many people can do that. So let's see how they really do it.
If you really want to be in a relationship without affecting other areas of your life such as studies or career, here are some tips for you.
1. Know Yourself First - Yes, you heard it right. You need to know who you are first before getting into a relationship and knowing that person. Ask questions to yourself about what you want from your life. Know what you are interested in, what skills you need to build to get the job you desire. The reason why you need to do this is because it will help you to find the right partner for yourself.
2. Find The Right Partner - How do you do that? Once you know yourself you'll also know what kind of a partner you need to be with to have the life that you desire. Right partner is someone who will fit into your life and make it even better. He/she will never be a distraction to you or your goals. Instead this right person will inspire you to get better and vice versa.
3. Inspire Each Other - The job isn't actually done when you meet the right person. You and your partner, both will go through some highs & lows throughout life. So, it's important for both of you to keep faith & provide constant support. Because that's how a healthy relationship looks, you need to grow together.
No person or a relationship can affect your goals or dreams unless you let them. If you feel someone is stopping you from doing what you really want, you can leave.
